Fusumae (Paintings on Sliding Screens, Private)
Same with the byobu (standing screen) of Kodai-ji Temple and the fusuma (sliding screens) of Nishihongan-ji Temple, Taizo-in preserves the screens drawn by Kano Ryokei, an excellent pupil of Kano Motonobu and along with a painter Tanyu, active in the Kano School. Ryokei’s screens are said to be the finest artworks remained since the end of the Muromachi period.
